This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or contact us, why we collect it and how we keep it safe. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
Rizco is a web design and hosting business based in Cape Town, South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information collected through this website, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

We do not sell your personal information or use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
We process personal information with your consent, where it is necessary to take steps towards or perform a contract with you, where we must comply with a legal obligation, or where we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting our business, as permitted by section 11 of POPIA.
We only share personal information with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as they need it to do so. These include our website and email hosting providers, payment and accounting providers, and Google, which provides the reCAPTCHA spam protection on our contact form and the Google reviews shown on our website.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are also handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy. We may disclose information where the law requires us to.
Some of our service providers, such as Google, may store or process information outside South Africa. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is protected by laws, binding rules or agreements that provide a level of protection similar to POPIA, as required by section 72 of the Act.
Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies that it needs to work securely, including Google reCAPTCHA on our contact form. If we add analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site, we will ask for your consent before they are set.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the website may not work properly without them.
We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it to respond and follow up with you. Client and financial records are kept for as long as the law requires, which is usually five years for tax purposes. After that, we delete or anonymise the information.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including secure HTTPS connections, access controls, regular software updates and backups.
No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure. If a security compromise affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.
